What to Expect on Service Day
We are looking forward to getting out to your property. To keep your service day safe and fast, here is a quick checklist to run through before our crew arrives. A few minutes of prep on your end helps us get in, do great work, and get out without any surprises.
Before We Arrive
- Move your vehicles out of the driveway and away from the work area so our trucks and equipment have room.
- Unlock any gates and clear a path so our equipment can reach the work site.
- Bring pets inside for the day. Loud engines and strangers in the yard can stress out even the calmest animals.
- Plan to keep kids and pets away from the work zone while our equipment is running.
Mark the Things We Cannot See
Gopher State One Call (811) marks public utilities, but they do not mark private lines on your property. Please point out or flag anything buried that we would have no way of knowing about, such as:
- Lawn sprinkler heads and irrigation lines
- Invisible or buried pet fence wire
- Low voltage landscape lighting and cables
- Septic tank lids and drain field lines
- Gas lines running to a grill, firepit, pool heater, or shed
- Drain tile, downspout extensions, or window well drains
If you are not sure exactly where something runs, a quick note or a flag in the ground saves everyone a headache.
Clearing the Work Area
Please move anything you would not want bumped, scratched, or covered in debris:
- Patio furniture, grills, and planters
- Garden hoses, lawn decor, and kids toys
- Trailers, boats, or anything parked near the work area
Cleanup and Hauling
When the job is done, we clean up the work area before we leave. If hauling the debris away was included in your service, it is listed on your invoice and we will take it with us. If it was not included, we are happy to haul it for an additional cost. Just let us know.
Payment
A credit card must be on file before we begin work, and payment is due once the job is complete. You can also pay by check.
- No fee for debit cards or checks
- 3% processing fee on all credit card payments
Do You Need to Be Home?
You do not need to be home, as long as we have clear access to the work area and a way to reach you by phone. One thing to keep in mind: payment does need to be made before we leave, so please have it ready or set up ahead of time.
A Few Things to Expect
- It gets loud. Our equipment is powerful, so you may want to give your neighbors a quick heads up.
- Minnesota weather has a mind of its own. If conditions turn unsafe, we will call you to reschedule.
