Not every fallen tree needs a crew at two in the morning. The question we ask on the phone is simple: is anything still moving, and is anyone or anything under it. A trunk lying flat across the back lawn can wait until Tuesday. A limb hung up in the canopy over the driveway cannot, because it comes down on its own schedule rather than yours.

The genuine emergencies are structural. A tree leaning on the house or garage, a trunk split at a main union, a root plate lifted out of the ground, or a hanger suspended over anywhere people walk. In all of those the tree is holding a load it was never built to hold, and the failure is unpredictable. Those get a crew dispatched.

How fast can you actually get here?

A tree is on a power line. Who do I call?
Xcel Energy, first and immediately, at 1-800-895-1999. Treat every downed wire as live, including cable and phone lines, and keep well clear. No tree company can legally or safely work a wire contact until the line is de-energized. Once Xcel clears it, we can start.
Does insurance cover emergency tree removal?
Generally yes when the tree damaged a covered structure such as the house, garage or fence, minus your deductible. Many policies also contribute a set amount toward debris removal even when the tree missed everything, and often cover a tree blocking a driveway. A tree that simply died is usually not covered. Ask us for an itemised invoice for the claim.
Do you charge more at night or on weekends?
Emergency call-outs carry a premium, because it means pulling a crew out of hours. We tell you that upfront on the phone. If your situation can safely wait until normal hours we will say so and book it at standard rates rather than let you pay emergency pricing unnecessarily.
A big limb is hung up in the tree. Is that urgent?
Yes. A hanger is one of the more dangerous things in this trade because it is held by nothing reliable and comes down on its own schedule. Keep everyone out from under it, do not try to pull it down with a rope from the ground, and call us.
The tree is leaning but has not fallen. Should I wait?
No. A new lean, or soil heaving and cracking on one side of the trunk, means the root plate is already failing. That tree is now a structure holding a load it was not designed for, and the next wind or saturated ground finishes it. Get it looked at now rather than after.
Do you tarp the roof or handle the building repair?
We make the tree safe and get it off the structure, and we can put an emergency tarp over an opening so the weather stays out. Roofing, siding and structural repairs are a separate trade, and we are happy to point you to contractors we work with regularly.
Can you take the whole tree, not just the fallen part?
Yes, and often that is the right call. A tree that has lost a main leader or split at a union is rarely worth saving, and doing it in one visit is cheaper than coming back. We will tell you plainly whether the rest of the tree has a future.
